HOW TO GET TO TALKEETNA
The town of Talkeetna is located approximately 120 road miles (2.5 beautiful scenic hours) north of Anchorage. Talkeetna is one of the very few towns in Alaska that is easily accessible by highway, railroad, and air, making it an ideal destination for a day or overnight trip, with plenty to see and do year round!
VIA CAR
Travel North from Anchorage towards Wasilla/Palmer on AK-1 (Glenn Highway), take AK-3 (George Parks Highway) to Wasilla. Continue through Wasilla to Milepost 98.7 on AK-3 (George Parks Highway), turn right onto the Talkeetna Spur Road. Continue on the Talkeetna Spur Road 14 miles into the townsite of Talkeetna. To find us, turn left at Main Street and look for our booth just past Shirley's Ice Cream. Approximate travel time is 2.5 hours from Anchorage, with delays if your'e fighting rush hour traffic out of Anchorage.
VIA TRAIN
The Alaska Railroad runs daily summer operations from Anchorage, Denali, and Fairbanks. Alaska Railroad also offers winter operations to Talkeetna. The Summer Hurricane Turn Train and the winter trains are the last flag stop trains in the US!

VIA PLANE
Charter flights can be arranged by contacting one of Alaska's many "air taxis". The Talkeetna State Airport has transient parking available for those flying their own planes and a flight service station is manned year round.
VIA SHUTTLE/BUS
Various shuttle companies, including those operated by local hotels and major cruise lines, offer daily service to and from Talkeetna.

... those in our group that LOVE off road adventures were thrilled! The trails were partial groomed and partial wet, wild and bumpy. The views were FABULOUS!!
Ken, part owner and official gun toting tour guide was personable and knowledgeable about the area and had a genuine interest in everyone being comfortable and having fun.
The equipment appeared well maintained, safety gear was available (helmets, boots, etc.) and our route was planned around fun terrain and really good views of the area.
Thank you Ken for taking such good care to make sure our group enjoyed our time with you! We wish you all the best!!
